About the operator

Who runs KicksIndia / and why.

KicksIndia is an independent sneaker drop alert service for Indian retail. One person, one product, no VC money, no retailer affiliations.

Who

I'm Kabir, the founder and sole operator of KicksIndia. I'm based in India, I've been buying sneakers on Indian retail since 2016, and I got tired of losing pairs to Instagram notifications that fire an hour after a drop has already sold through its UK 9.

There's no team page because there's no team. I write the scrapers, I tune the classifier, I answer the support email, I send the refunds. When the site breaks, I break it. When it gets fixed, I fixed it.

What KicksIndia actually does

Every 30 minutes the pipeline checks the product feeds at Superkicks, Crepdog Crew, Limited Edt and Mainstreet, classifies what's new (brand, silhouette, release type, hype score), and decides whether to email you. Pro-tier subscribers get size-specific real-time alerts; Standard gets a daily digest. The free This week page lists everything, unfiltered, for people who just want to browse.

That's the whole product. I don't do Discord servers, I don't flip pairs, I don't take affiliate commissions (the product-page links are plain links, not affiliate redirects).

What KicksIndia is not

Not a reseller. I don't hold stock. I don't sell sneakers. If a page on this site tells you a pair is available, that means I saw it live on a retailer's site at generation time — the actual buy happens on their domain, with their cart, their card processor, their returns policy.

Not affiliated with Nike, adidas, ASICS, New Balance, Onitsuka Tiger, or any Indian retailer. No paid placements, no sponsored posts, no "thanks for the free pair in exchange for coverage" arrangements. If a page lists 6 stores and one of them is Limited Edt, that's because Limited Edt carries the drop — not because they paid for the spot.

Not a bot shop. I don't sell checkout bots, I don't help anyone run them, and I will not add features that make botting easier. The TOS on every retailer I scrape bans automated checkout; the TOS on every retailer I scrape also permits the product feed scraping I do (no carting, no checkout, no account creation — just public catalog reads with a reasonable rate).

How I pay the bills

Subscriptions, full stop. KicksIndia Standard is ₹299/month. Pro is ₹799/month. That's the entire revenue side. No ads, no affiliate links, no reselling data, no "premium watchlist for ₹5k a month" upsell.

At launch, the product runs on a single Fly.io machine in BOM with a SQLite database on a persistent volume. Running costs are under $20/month all-in, which means the service can survive on a tiny number of paying subscribers — which in turn means I don't need to start optimising for advertisers, data deals or cross-sells to stay alive.

Why “Kabir” and not my full name

Public-facing names are optional, full names are not. I've kept my real name off the site to avoid turning a small solo project into a LinkedIn-shaped personal brand. The India-registered business entity behind KicksIndia has my full legal name on file with the usual bodies (Razorpay KYC, bank, registrar). If you need to reach me for a business or compliance matter, the email below lands with a real human within 24 hours.

Contact
